Wedding Anniversary Card Sayings To Parents

Personal summary on the blog: Blog comment INTERGEO

Design: Andreas father

What is a Blog? How and why blogs are used? As part of the seminar: "Economic Geography of the Internet" was the theme blog, treated as a form of interaction and communication in the social and economic space Internet. The development of the medium from the origin, the rapid spread, until the current "hype " was discussed. Scientific studies on interactions between "blog-journalism and real journalism, and effective use of opportunities empirical measurement of the impact were presented and discussed. Moreover, the conceptual development and update of an accompanying blog integral part of the seminar program for some of the participants. In the results of the different approaches and perspectives together tried to answer above-mentioned issues. Finally, herewith, a personal summary on the content and implementation of the internal blog seminar will be presented, the following guiding question picks: what has been written in the blog / publish what would have been on a website not written / published?

The blog "Intergeo was in five people with different prior knowledge Computer science and experience in the use of the Internet creates. The concept of a blog was before the seminar, only one of the editors know, no one had practical experience with the application. Ideas and expectations were based initially only on the introductory description of the instructor, defined through the comparison with a website, a blog as a kind of simple, informal version. The only request that was linked to the production, it was recorded content and course of the seminar and to make room for further discussion ("Comment"). From these direct and indirect targets were obtained for the authors of the first releases ("content") following challenges to the content of the seminar had to be played scientifically correct, on the other hand, the course incorporated and both are represented in more informal form.

The first three posts (subscriber, Abstract, outline) reproduce exclusively importing administrative issues, the fourth recorded in detail the contents of the first session and adds interesting technical details. Until then, we purposely omitted colloquial expression, was elected a chronological, bullet points format and the requirements of a top seminar according to formalities (outline, citation, expression) taken. Comparing the above points dissociates, the subsequent post (10/26/2004) significantly from the previous: technical amendments have been replaced by informal, formulated statements and then the previous format, in a juxtaposition of bullet points and text passages, extended. It is certainly not alone in the words of the lecturer - to favor the more open nature of the "blog-style" - but also to the typical characteristics of a blog, "Evolution" (see, 1:02:05, final discussion on the subject: Blog on! due individuality and sociality on the Internet) that later because Posts oriented and established procedures deconstructed further. This trend continued in the course of the publications further continued and led to the current appearance of the blog "INTERGEO," which conveys the impression of a relatively unstructured, more or less detailed (depending on the time and interest expense for the editor) juxtaposition of scientific and informal statements of the seminar.

It must also be taken into account that in the blog due to technical reasons, the more complex structure possibilities of a website can not be achieved. A blog is more like a single page of any length, being limited clarity on the visible portion effectively. For this reason we find in a home rarely available which correspond to the extent a blog. In addition, a home product is a single editor that his work can been clearly defined to be an official, serious character properly (one to many). A blog that is designed collaboratively by many (many to many), needs to give an official image is much more coordination in advance. It is clear that the central question introduced at the beginning and only postponed the issue should be clarified, which claim the blog has been set.

primary blogs are a technology, a simplified versions of large web content management systems. Using blogging software to keep a journal on the Web is about as easy how to send an e-mail. A blog can be a diary, a scientific publication or a collection of public notes.

first Differences between blogs and website

has prevailed since the Internet as a mass medium, has taken the website as an information and representation possible, a central position and is used by the general public. However, the private use of home pages has so far focused mainly on the provision of information. Private presence of the public on the Internet in the form of home pages has remained limited to the persons having the proper PC and HTML knowledge can boast. Only ten years later, popular blogs, which can be described as easy to create, user-friendly web pages. On the basis of periodic blog entries get their substantive component. For the preparation and presentation of a blog as opposed to the home page with little experience in web design erforderlich.Im contrast to the somewhat static home pages, blogs live from the collaborative development. The principle of "many to many" is made possible by the comments. Even though there are just as in the home is usually only a publisher of his periodic entries by the principle of "one to all" public, but on the comments the public is invited to participate. Blogs are used as online diaries, so this blog can be the metaphor of a "daily soap opera" to describe accurately. However, keep the possible uses of blogs are not limited to diary function, but blogs also serve as a platform for the exchange of experiences and promote public journalism on the Internet ("grassroots journalism"). So-called "watch blogs" can be understood as a corrective to grassroots, as frequently as bloggers understand the online watchdogs and sloppy, oddities and inconsistencies in the political, economic and journalism to uncover looking for. However, the degree of credibility and the quality of the information in blogs is far lower than that of home pages and other established media.

second Realization on Blogspot (www.bloggers.com)

Even with the least PC and HTML knowledge can create a personal blog at Blogspot. However, until you have worked through the registration form and a first post is published on the net, take a long time. The learning curve I have found to be very lengthy, but I can do for lack of experience is no comparison with other providers. Another positive is the free blog creation and the free standing available web space. The design is simple, which I think is to be assessed by positive, although this assessment varies according to personal design preferences. As a disadvantage, however, I felt the little formatting in the preparation of each post. Moreover, often, the paragraph formatting is not working, so that the clarity to ugly tricks on how such access had dots instead of spaces.

third to create realization in our seminar

The idea of a blog as part of the seminar is innovative and very useful. A seminar that deals thematically with the Internet and at the same time the Internet with their results, comments and discussions on the topic is present, is so perfect rounded. On the temporary meeting in the seminar room addition, the seminar participants to interact and provide additional information (links, literature, etc.) for the other students. We are in the creation and use of the seminar blog but remained far below our possibilities. Simultaneously, the potential uses of a blog were not taken sufficiently to complete. I am particularly critical to the presentation of the seminar encouraged informal protocols in the blog. The blog must, in my opinion, not necessarily in informal everyday language and in the form of Diary-like entries are filled content, but is also suitable for much more scientific application. The representation of the informal conference process helps to ensure that the blog is not taken seriously and thus to lose more meaningful content. This, in turn, that the interest in use and participation in the blog was in decline and has remained far below expectations. I would have preferred a more objective presentation of content, for example, to outsiders is understandable and would have increased the reach beyond the course. Also for exam preparation offers only a blog that is run on a professional level. The informal part of the Blog, which is supposed to be fun and to encourage participation should be possible by appropriate comments continue. Nevertheless, a scientific discourse because of the comment function may occur. Basic requirement for any collaborative development of a blog, whether in formal or informal style, is a continuous use of the blog comments, blogs or downloads published links and available presentations. Here I would have liked even more links and to download. Overall, must be criticized that the use was limited to the blogs, the bloggers group (+2 participants). In this respect, I appreciate the collaborative Development as poor and entirely inadequate and thus founded the irrelevance to the blog will be awarded in the seminar. In my opinion, would have the blog as KnowledgeBase (posts) & discussion place (comments) can be used while it is increasingly degenerate as a way of obtaining uncomplicated appearance.
is a blog, what you make of it: Nonsense, the world does not need an online diary, a knowledge base platform or even a democratic corrective?

Pregnant Humor Sympathy Cards

Fab's opinion

So, then I will give my opinion now time

So then I will not now time to give my opinion. Be not surprised if someone else posting my comment! I unfortunately forgot my password and with a new invitation, I am somehow not pure ... (could be called criticism number one ...)

So at the beginning of the seminar, I found the idea of an "Internet-diary" so reasonable and promising . Especially for people like me who have not a conventional Create a Homepage too much about, is against this form of communication via the Internet. We have approached at the beginning with the thought of the whole thing, this relatively new way just try it. The informal to public displays of the seminar learned to know the possibility of "intervention" and of discussion of the other seminar participants can surely be an interesting way of working up a seminar hours. Here I must however agree with other comments that complain about the lack of participation of the course, since then the sense (?) Of the blog will be missed at least a large part (which of course is not a weakness of the blog itself, see Philipp ).

The aesthetics of a blog is, of course, with a beautifully designed website not keep up, but this is not the purpose of a blog.

In terms of informal style that was so explicitly requested and apparently a typical feature of a blog, I think, was here and there a bit exaggerated, so that the "question of style" very much to the fore (of course there are blogs, the language are laid out differently, I came across at the time of tsunami disaster on a blog of the channel ZDF, which describes the events in "normal journalistic style").

Even the juxtaposition of contributions might be better solved. Especially when there are a number of articles and comments on a blog, this is very confusing very quickly.

Other issues, such as regularly occurring technical obstacles have already been described by other bloggers and I am well known :-(

I think, to supply a blog to its original purpose, is a lively sympathy (Comments , ideas, provocations, ...) the first priority. In this sense, perhaps looking one or the other yes but then again by here and gives his two cents ;-)
